Rosedale was established in 1945. We are a crop and livestock producer in the South Eastern part of South Dakota. We raise corn, beans, and alfalfa. We also raise hogs, turkeys, and stock cows. We follow strict livestock handling and security protocols to raise great quality products. With such a diverse farm there comes a challenge to come up with unique ideas to improve the efficiency and ease of operation. We also run a metal fab shop to improvise and improve on ideas......

Why We Work On Heaters
Back in 2006 we were looking for a heater that works in livestock applications. Nothing off the shelf worked for us. The best we found, both economical and usefulness, was hot water. The best way to apply it was with fin tubes running thru the barn. But we figured there must be a better way, so we tried off the shelf hot water unit heaters. They worked a lot better than the fin tubes, but plugged up and corroded in barns. So, we designed and built some proto type units and were amazed at the results. The first few years we just built them for our own use, but word got out and we decided to start a business. We are more than ( lack of words) at the customer base we have established........
Why we wanted to get into hog sorting systems
In early 2022, ProSort approached us if we would be interested in buying out ProSort. Their focus changed to other avenues and they were unable to supply sorters in a timely fashion. We did a lot of research and decided it would be a good fit to our company. We also figured that with the labor shortages we would be able to help other pig growers overcome a huge problem in the coming years.....
